I've found some very interesting strings in one of the VB script files (specifically war3map.wts)

|cff55ff551) No double-basing before the Gateway to Hell opens.  Once it does open, players may choose to share a base (two players maximum per base.)  All players in the base must continue to build.|r
|cff5555ff2) Slayers may only blink into other player's bases to grab items and may not attack any vampire being attacked by another player's towers or spiked walls.  Slayers may not assist other bases with graves, though warnings are legal.|r

|cff55ff555) Humans cannot take refuge in one another's bases or the AFK pool.  Humans must also always attempt to set up a permanent base if they do not already have one (alternatively, many temporary bases are allowed for resource gathering purposes, but humans may not simply sit idle without any structures.)|r

The previous versions from what i can remember you could choose specific modes, fast mode, tournament mode, some other ones i can't remember, but tournament mode was one of those modes coded into the map.

To be honest, idk if the code for modes and such are still left in the game. They could still be there but just not called. The obfuscation is clearly doing its job.

auto-deprotects dont work. you just open it up with ladik's MPQ editor with a proper listfile and youre set.

decompiling it so that it works with worldedit, and then setting it up so it recompiles properly is whole different story.

ive had it setup so that it opened with worldedit at one point, but it doesnt recompile. ive also lost that file so yeah....

That file just contains old unused info, when you code in GUI the text strings are saved to that file. When coding using JASS or vJASS all the text strings are just put right into the script or in local/global variables so they are instead right in the code in the war3map.j file.

1.475b was the last version in which you had to input -fmvvbcrt at the start of every game, but since that mode was the one everyone played I made it the default one. Well, recoded the whole thing if I remember correctly. I know that I remade the base claim system, recoded the fast mode stuff and redid the whole trade system which was later removed.

To be honest I pretty much recoded the entire map from 1.475b to 1.480 which lead to hundreds of bugs but to a better map since the community had been stuck on 1.475b with it's numerous bugs for almost a year I think, and something evolve from..... Bah the old days on Assrapy (Athrapy)'s forum....
